agentcad is an open-source CAD tool built specifically for AI agents, working as both a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server and a Command Line Interface (CLI). It connects coding agents like Claude Code, Cursor, and Windsurf directly to parametric 3D modeling, so you can go from an idea in a chat window to a real, manufacturable part without touching traditional CAD software yourself.

Through this setup, your coding agent writes build123d or CadQuery scripts, automatically validates the resulting geometry, catches broken code early, and renders models from multiple angles to inspect every detail visually. This tight feedback loop lets the agent spot its own design mistakes, fix them on the fly, and steadily converge on watertight, dimensionally correct, and printable 3D geometry—all without human intervention.

Once the design is ready, agentcad exports your finished models in STEP, STL, GLB, and OBJ formats, covering everything from 3D printing workflows to sharing and visualization across your favorite tools.
