China's top court to set rules on AI cases and data rights
At a press conference on May 27, China's top court official Liu Guixiang said the court will work to protect all market players equally and fix issues like using criminal or administrative measures to interfere in economic disputes. They will also improve the system to prevent and correct wrongful cases. For the digital economy, the top court will create rules on AI-related cases and data rights, including data ownership, trading, and AI-generated content. This aims to help digital tech and the real economy work together better and build a safe, open data market. The court will also speed up new company law rules, study new cases like virtual currency and cross-border finance, and soon draft rules on insider trading and market manipulation to protect small investors and keep the stock market stable.
