OpenAI CEO says AI is creating new jobs

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said on X that, so far, he is quite sure AI is creating new jobs. He was surprised because he expected AI at this level would have already impacted the job market more. But that hasn't happened yet.

Altman also noted some companies are using AI as an excuse for layoffs they already planned. Still, some jobs are really being replaced by AI. In the coming years, job changes from AI will become clearer, and new types of work will appear.
