Ruijin Hospital and Huawei Cloud Launch RuiPath 2.0 Pathology Model
Ruijin Hospital and Huawei Cloud jointly released the RuiPath 2.0 pathology AI model. It has 7 billion parameters, covers 19 common cancer types, and supports 205 diagnostic tasks, covering over 90% of pathologists' daily work.
For the first time, RuiPath 2.0 provides clear explanations in areas like tissue subtypes, invasion depth, and mitotic count, making AI diagnoses more transparent and traceable. To tackle the shortage of rare disease data, they built a generative model to create synthetic training data, achieving 96.48% accuracy in lymphoma diagnosis.
They also launched a lightweight version, RuiPath 2.0 Edge, with only 2 million parameters. It can run on standard hospital PCs and works with the cloud for quick, minute-level inference, making it easier to adopt. The base model outperforms top overseas pathology models, hitting state-of-the-art results in 42 out of 59 downstream tasks.
