Tencent to Launch New Hy4 AI Model with Visual Understanding

At the Tencent Global Digital Ecosystem Conference, Tencent Senior Executive Vice President and CEO of the Cloud and Smart Industries Group, Dowson Tong, announced that Hy4 is coming soon. Tencent launched Hy4 preview on August 28, with 770B total parameters, 49B activated parameters, and 1M context length.

Compared with the preview version, Hy4 delivers major upgrades. It is better at long-term and real productivity tasks, improves chain-of-thought efficiency, and adds visual understanding for the first time.

Hy4 flash will also be released soon. It is a highly cost-effective model that keeps Hy4's visual and Agent abilities, and evolves fast through deep co-design of the model and products.

Tencent said the preview version expanded model size, context length, and data scale, and progress in both pre-training and post-training brought a big jump in intelligence.
