University of Chicago Law School bans laptops in class for freshmen to boost independent thinking

The University of Chicago Law School has told its new students to keep their laptops closed during class starting this fall. Dean Adam Chilton says the goal isn't to ban AI completely, but to make sure students learn to think on their own before using AI tools.
