Switching between windows just to ask ChatGPT a question breaks your flow every time. Commander GPT is a desktop application for Mac and PC that solves this with a slick command interface — access ChatGPT directly from your keyboard, without ever leaving what you're working on. Generate images, translate text, and get answers based on YouTube video transcripts, all from a single keyboard shortcut.
Commander GPT is now free to use, though it is no longer actively maintained. For users who need ongoing support and updates, the official ChatGPT app is recommended. But if you're looking for a lightweight, keyboard-first way to tap into ChatGPT on your desktop, Commander GPT still gets the job done.
