When you are reading a PubMed article, it is hard to tell whether other researchers cited it as solid supporting evidence, as a point of criticism, or simply as background reading. PubMed Citation Context Explorer solves this by classifying the citation contexts of PubMed articles, so you can understand at a glance how the scientific community actually uses a paper before you cite it yourself.
The extension is powered by a deep learning model trained on more than 100 million citation contexts from semanticscholar.org (S2ORC), giving you reliable, large-scale insight into how each article was cited by others.
Beyond citation analysis, it also includes a convenient search function to find related EurekAlert! science news releases and NSF/NIH grants, helping you follow the news coverage and funding landscape around the research you care about.
