DeepCite

DeepCite is an algorithm designed to help you verify information you come across online. Simply give it a website and a claim, and it searches through that site for any passages similar to the claim in question.

If DeepCite finds a matching passage, it then checks whether that passage links to other websites, and the algorithm repeats the process on those new sources. By following this chain step by step, it works its way back toward the original origin of the information.

This makes it easy to trace sources that would otherwise be difficult to find on your own, so you can quickly figure out how reliable a piece of information actually is before trusting or sharing it.
