Microsoft™ Text to Speech is a speech service that converts written text into lifelike, natural-sounding speech, making it easy to turn articles, notes, or any written content into audio you can actually listen to.

The official Microsoft™ TTS website provides a demo app where you can try synthesizing lifelike speech for yourself. There is one frustrating limitation, though: the synthesized speech can only be played on the page, not saved.

This extension solves that problem by adding a download button right next to the official 'play' button, so the audio you generate is yours to keep and use offline whenever you need it.
