Hermes Agent is an open-source autonomous AI agent created by Nous Research, the lab behind the well-known Hermes model family. Instead of behaving like a standard chatbot that forgets everything after each conversation, Hermes Agent is built for persistence and long-term growth.

It lives on your own infrastructure, which means you stay in control of where it runs and how it operates. Thanks to FTS5 recall, it remembers context across sessions, so you never have to repeat yourself or re-explain past decisions every time you start a new conversation.
