LocalGPT

Worried about your conversations being sent to remote servers every time you use an AI chatbot? LocalGPT is an open-source Chrome extension that brings the power of conversational AI directly to your local machine — for free, privately, and even offline after the initial setup. No data leaves your device. Ever.

Unlike cloud-based AI services that require constant internet connectivity and route your data through external servers, LocalGPT runs entirely on your computer using WebLLM and WebGPU, delivering a seamless chatting experience with full privacy and data control. It's the AI assistant for anyone who values their privacy and wants the benefits of conversational AI without the tradeoffs.
