Novice

Novice is a desktop productivity app that lets you get work done 10x faster — with the peace of mind that your data never leaves your device. If you've ever felt uneasy about feeding sensitive documents into cloud-based AI tools, Novice is the answer. It's a local AI assistant and text editor that runs entirely on your own computer, supporting models like DeepSeek, Llama 3.2, Phi, and Qwen2.5, with full offline capability and zero cloud processing. Novice can process PDFs, websites, DOCX files, and text documents locally, turning them into a private knowledge base you can actually search and work with. Whether you're a legal professional, a researcher, or anyone handling confidential data, Novice gives you the full power of modern AI without ever compromising your privacy.
