SciGPT makes reading scientific papers easier by bringing AI-powered insights straight to the page. When you open a paper on a supported scientific journal website such as Arxiv, it uses ChatGPT to generate key insights, helpful suggestions, follow-up questions, and relevant references directly from the abstract, so you can quickly grasp what a paper is about and where to dig deeper.
The extension currently works across 48 different websites. For the full list of supported sites, check out our website on GitHub. If a site you rely on is not covered yet, feel free to send a pull request and help expand support, since the project welcomes community contributions.
There is no need to subscribe to a ChatGPT Plus plan, as the extension works without one, making it an accessible option for students, researchers, and anyone who regularly reads academic content. LEGAL: Disclaimer: SciGPT is not an official ChatGPT™ application. It is an unofficial extension that is developed and maintained independently and has no affiliation to OpenAI.
