News Article Summarizer (Chrome Extension)

News Article Summarizer is a Chrome extension that automatically condenses long news articles into clear, readable summaries, so you can grasp the key points without wading through every paragraph.

When you open an article, the extension scrapes the heading and body text from the active tab, then preprocesses it by removing stop words and stemming words with the Porter-Stemmer algorithm.

It builds a graph of sentences based on TF-IDF values and cosine similarity, runs Google's PageRank algorithm on that graph, and picks the highest-ranking sentences to produce a concise summary of the article.
