Powered by Natural Language Processing (NLP), it analyzes video transcripts to pinpoint where sponsored content begins and ends, then gives you a simple button to skip straight past it.

The technology behind SkipSponsor is a Machine Learning model trained on transcripts from more than 300,000 videos, annotated using the crowd-sourced dataset SponsorBlock. This large-scale training helps the model reliably recognize sponsor segments across a wide range of channels and video styles.

To keep your browsing experience smooth, the model is hosted on a server rather than running locally. This design minimizes the extension's impact on browser performance, so you can enjoy faster, sponsor-free viewing without slowing your browser down.
