2026 World AI Conference Unveils AI Cooperation Development Action Plan

The 2026 World AI Conference and High-Level Meeting on Global AI Governance kicked off today in Shanghai. China's National Development and Reform Commission, along with other departments, released the 'AI Cooperation Development Action Plan,' outlining eight initiatives covering data, computing power, ecosystems, talent, and ethics. The plan aligns with UN efforts to boost international AI cooperation, bridge digital gaps, and promote sustainable development.

Also launched was the 'China Wisdom, World Benefit (2026)' case collection, featuring 10 stories of China's AI international cooperation with broader geographic coverage and richer 'AI+' application scenarios. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the 'International AI Ethics Governance Action Plan,' focusing on lifecycle governance and risk classification, urging global coordination.
