Similarweb's data for August 2026 shows ChatGPT still leads AI chatbot web traffic with 55.5% share, up from 52.7% three months ago but down from 73.3% a year ago. Gemini's share doubled to 25.6%, and Claude rose to 9.3%. DeepSeek, Grok, and Perplexity have smaller shares. Note that this only counts web visits, not mobile apps, so it doesn't fully reflect actual usage.
