AI model Jev lands $870 million just weeks after launch
According to Bloomberg, Jev, an AI decision model from startup TypeSafe AI, went viral just weeks after launch. The company has raised about $870 million led by Andreessen Horowitz, valuing it at $7.5 billion.
Jev hit 1 million users within days of launch and is now used by about one-third of Fortune 500 companies. Sequoia Capital and several angel investors also joined the round. The platform now processes trillions of tokens daily.
Co-founder and CEO Diogo Almeida said many AI models have an "intelligence gap" - they act brilliant most of the time but fail badly in the remaining cases, making them useless in automated production. The company aims to rebuild trust in AI with stable and affordable solutions.
TypeSafe has a lean team of just 20 people, and Jev is already profitable after operating costs. The new funding will go toward hiring, large-scale deployment, and more computing power.
