AI researcher says just talk to AI, don't overthink prompts
Andrej Karpathy, an AI researcher at Anthropic, suggests a new way to interact with AI: just talk without overthinking your prompts. He says he often opens voice mode and talks to AI for about 10 minutes, saying whatever comes to mind without organizing his thoughts.
Karpathy believes this "rambling" approach helps users and AI work better together. Users just speak out their unfinished project ideas, and the chatbot organizes them into clear, structured content. He usually tells the AI upfront that his thoughts might be messy and the speech-to-text could have typos.
This idea comes as Silicon Valley companies focus on improving AI voice features. OpenAI recently launched GPT-Live to support ChatGPT's voice functions and released a mini keyboard with a voice recording button. Anthropic also upgraded its voice models this week.
