Alibaba launches HappyOyster 1.0 for open world creation

Alibaba launched HappyOyster 1.0, an open-world model now available on Alibaba Cloud for enterprise and developers in beta. It offers two modes: Adventure and Directing.

Adventure mode lets users create interactive open worlds with a sentence or image, where characters and environments respond to commands for over a minute with audio and video. Directing mode lets users control cameras, characters, and storylines with text commands, with real-time responses and pause/rewind options.

The model excels in digital human interaction, storytelling, and POV simulation. It provides SDKs for Android, iOS, and Web, with Open API for world management and RTC support for real-time interaction and video export.
