Alibaba launches HappyShrimp, an AI music tool that creates songs from a single sentence

Alibaba's ATH business group is developing a new AI music platform called HappyShrimp (Chinese name 'Happy Shrimp'). It can turn a simple sentence into a full song. The tool supports text-to-melody, lyrics generation, and audio style transfer. It targets music creators, producers, and researchers, as well as bloggers and video makers. HappyShrimp offers AI music generation (including melody, arrangement, and vocals), background music customization, sound effects, style transfer, and digital music creation help. The product is not open to the public yet, so we'll need to wait for official details. Interestingly, Alibaba bought Xiami Music in 2013 and merged it with Tiantian Dongting in 2015 to form Alibaba Music, but Xiami shut down in 2021. HappyShrimp is seen as Alibaba's new move in AI music.
