Alibaba launches new Qoder agent workbench for everyone

Alibaba launched the new Qoder on August 27, an agent workbench built on coding capabilities, designed for everyone. Users just describe their goal, and Qoder understands context, makes a plan, calls tools, and executes with verification, allowing adjustments anytime.

The original Qoder IDE, released in August 2025, is an AI coding tool with over 6 million users and 100,000 enterprise clients. The new version uses Harness technology for long-chain autonomy, supports permission levels and tool whitelists, and integrates top SOTA models with Qwen for optimization.

Qoder offers both coding and general modes, supports voice activation, and connects to 40+ connectors and 70+ plugins. The desktop app is available at qoder.com for international users and qoder.cn for China.
