Alibaba Releases Qwen3.6-Max-Preview: Major Boosts in Programming and Knowledge Capabilities

Alibaba announced the official release of Qwen3.6-Max-Preview this afternoon, an early preview of the new flagship model in the Qwen series. Users can interact with it via Qwen Studio, and it will soon be available through Alibaba Cloud's Bailian API.

Compared to Qwen3.6-Plus, the preview version shows significant improvements in agent programming capabilities, with higher scores in benchmarks like SkillsBench. It also has stronger world knowledge and better instruction-following abilities, performing well in knowledge tests such as SuperGPQA.

As a preview version, Qwen3.6-Max-Preview is still being iterated and optimized, with future versions expected to further enhance performance.
