Alibaba's Qoder now runs on Loongson chips and Chinese desktop systems
Qoder is Alibaba's AI coding platform for developers, launched worldwide in August 2025. It helps with coding and lets AI agents work together or handle tasks on their own. The global and China versions of Qoder now support Linux ARM64 and Loongson chips, and work with UOS and Kylin, two Chinese desktop systems. So far, Qoder runs on HarmonyOS PC, HarmonyOS mobile, UOS V20, and Kylin V10. With this update, users can use tools, manage files, and let AI agents team up on these local systems. Loongson chips use a fully self-developed instruction set, with no overseas licenses needed. As of August 2026, Qoder serves over 6 million users and more than 100,000 enterprise customers around the world.
