Alibaba's T-Head open-sources its AI software stack

Alibaba's chip division T-Head has open-sourced its AI software stack, T-Head SAIL. Built for its Zhenwu AI chips, it works with popular AI frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow, letting mainstream models run out of the box. As of April, Zhenwu chips have shipped 560,000 units, serving over 400 customers across 20+ industries. The stack has been tested in real-world Alibaba Cloud environments under heavy traffic. Developers can compile and run the code directly, with average adaptation time for major inference frameworks under 7 days.
