Alibaba sets up Token Foundry unit, CEO Wu Yongming in charge

Alibaba announced it is merging its Tongyi large model unit and Future Life Lab to form a new Token Foundry division, directly led by CEO Wu Yongming. Zhou Jingren becomes Chief Scientist, heading the new AI Future Research Institute. Zheng Bo brings teams like Happy Horse and Happy Oyster into the new unit.
