Amap releases the world's first 3D native city world model, generating kilometer-level city scenes in 10 minutes
Alibaba Group's Amap recently released ABot-Earth0.5, the world's first 3D native city world model, which has built the world's most extensive 3D map covering over 190 countries and regions. Unlike traditional 3D modeling, ABot-Earth0.5 acts more like an 'automation factory'—users input a satellite image or text description, and in just 10 minutes, a kilometer-level 3D city scene is generated on a consumer-grade GPU.
The model outputs editable 3DGS format assets that can be directly imported into mainstream engines like Unity and UnrealEngine for interactive development. According to estimates, its 3D mapping cost is only 1% of traditional methods, while efficiency improves about 1,000 times, turning high-precision 3D city generation from 'heavy assets' into 'light tools.'
This breakthrough could provide foundational support for industries like embodied intelligence and the low-altitude economy. In emergency rescue scenarios, the minute-level 3D mapping capability can quickly recreate the 3D environment of disaster sites, offering scientific basis for command and deployment. ABot-Earth0.5 is now open for beta testing.
