Amazon Prime Video Launches AI Lip Sync for Dubbed Shows

Amazon announced that Prime Video now offers an AI lip sync feature, which makes actors' mouth movements match the dubbed audio track. Currently, it only works for the English dub of the German series "The Gryphon" (The Gap Between Us). More titles will be added later.

The feature uses AI and visual effects to keep lip movements in line with translated lines. Meta and YouTube also recently launched AI auto-dubbing tools for creators, with lip sync options as well.

Last year, Prime Video tested AI-assisted dubbing in 12 films and shows. Global subscribers can use the feature on seasons 1 and 2 of the series, and season 3, arriving December 9, will support it too.
