AMD and Cerebras team up on AI, stock jumps 11%

AMD and Cerebras Systems announced a tech partnership to build AI inference solutions. Cerebras stock rose 11% on the news.

The plan combines AMD's Helios rack-scale solution with Cerebras' wafer-scale engine for high throughput and low latency token generation. Cerebras will deploy Helios in its data centers, with the joint solution expected to launch via Cerebras Cloud in the second half of 2026.

Cerebras CEO Andrew Feldman said AI has gone from a novelty to a necessity, and the partnership will expand their footprint in ultra-low latency.
