AMD and Cisco AI Computing Goes Live in Saudi Arabia
AMD and Cisco's AI computing is now live in Saudi Arabia, serving customers of HUMAIN, an AI company under Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund PIF. The infrastructure uses AMD Instinct MI355X GPUs and EPYC CPUs, with networking based on Cisco Silicon One processors and 800G optics, supporting AI training and inference tasks.
HUMAIN offers Saudi businesses an "AI in a Box" all-in-one solution for easy access to AI computing. As part of a 1GW collaboration, the three plan a joint venture to deploy new facilities with AMD Instinct MI400 GPUs and ROCm software, totaling 250MW, expected to start in 2027.
AMD also launched an ecosystem program with Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Communications to provide developers with open tools and training, boosting AI innovation.
