AMD launches Helion rack solution for agentic AI workloads
As agentic AI applications grow fast, data centers need higher compute density and more flexible deployment.
AMD has announced the Helion rack solution for agentic AI workloads. Built on OCP design specs and the open platform idea of AMD's Helios rack, partners and customers can mix and match CPU and GPU resources to fit their needs.
The CPU-only version, based on 6th-gen EPYC processors, can scale up to 32,768 cores. AMD also plans to contribute the Helion spec to OCP so the community can keep building on it.
Developed with ecosystem partners, the rack is set to launch in November 2026, offering a more open option for large-scale AI deployment.
