Andrew Ng launches OpenWorker, an open-source AI agent that handles files and schedules
Andrew Ng has launched OpenWorker, an open-source AI agent designed to efficiently complete tasks beyond simple chat. It works on macOS and Windows, built on the aisuite library, and supports multiple large language models through a unified API.
OpenWorker can polish documents, prepare client briefs, organize schedules, draft reports, or handle Slack alerts. It runs within your files and daily tools, and checks before performing any important actions to ensure reliability.
The tool is model-agnostic, supporting closed models like GPT, Claude, and Gemini, as well as open-source ones like Kimi, GLM, and DeepSeek, plus local models via Ollama. The GitHub project has already gained 3.7k stars.
