Anthropic Adds Limited-Time Free Usage Reset for Claude

Anthropic has launched a limited-time free usage reset for Claude, letting users manually refresh their weekly usage limit at no extra cost. The feature is expected to be available until October 22, and each user can only use it once.

Some Claude users can already see a reset button in the interface. If they have also hit the 5-hour usage cap, that limit gets reset as well. However, resetting does not change the original reset schedule—new usage still expires next week on the same timeline.

There are two limits: each person gets only one free reset, and the feature is only open until October 22. Anthropic may be promoting Opus 5.5, hoping users will try the new model with extra usage and consider subscribing. No official word yet on whether similar offers will return.
