Anthropic Opens Mac Computer Control Feature Test for Claude Paid Users, AI Can Directly Operate Desktop Tasks
Anthropic recently invited Claude Pro and Claude Max subscribers to test the 'Computer Use' feature in preview, allowing Claude to directly control users' Mac computers. This feature breaks the limitation of traditional large models that only interact with text and images, enabling AI to deeply integrate into desktop workflows.
With Claude Cowork and Claude Code apps, AI can move the mouse, click icons, navigate the system like humans, and also open and edit local files, handle spreadsheets or professional software tasks. The supporting Dispatch feature allows users to send voice or text commands to Claude on the computer via mobile phones, realizing cross-device remote control.
Currently, the feature is in the early testing phase, only available on macOS systems, and limited to Claude paid subscribers.
