Anthropic sued by University of Tennessee Research Foundation over patent infringement

The University of Tennessee Research Foundation has filed a lawsuit against AI company Anthropic in a Delaware federal court. The foundation claims Anthropic's system products infringe on two patents developed by a university professor, covering AI, machine learning, and neuromorphic computing.

The plaintiff says Anthropic shows disregard for others' intellectual property in its product development, going beyond just using copyrighted materials. An Anthropic spokesperson said they disagree with the claims and will vigorously defend their rights.
