Anthropic Tests Conway AI Agent Environment: 24/7 Availability + Exclusive Plugin Ecosystem

Anthropic is internally testing a new permanent AI agent environment called Conway, which can run 24/7. This environment is independent of the desktop dialogue interface, runs as an exclusive web instance, natively supports Claude Code, deeply integrates with Chrome browser and can send system notifications.

Conway has an operation panel with three core modules: search, dialogue and system. It first introduces an exclusive plugin ecosystem where users can upload .cnw.zip files to install custom tools. Its biggest technical breakthrough is the 24/7 online and external wake-up capability, supporting uninterrupted automated responses in the background.

Conway is expected to be deeply integrated with the Epitaxy interface, marking Anthropic's shift from traditional large model dialog boxes to an AI agent workflow platform. In the future, it may compete with similar platforms like OpenClaw, becoming a major product upgrade.
