Anthropic to Let Business Clients Keep Data on Own Cloud

Anthropic plans to change its data retention policy, letting business clients keep 30 days of data on their own cloud infrastructure instead of Anthropic's. The new security system is expected to launch later this year. Earlier in June, Anthropic said it would keep all frontier model data traffic from business clients for 30 days to trace cyberattacks. Although Anthropic promised not to use the data for AI training, clients worried about data safety, and some might switch to rivals offering "zero retention." The new move aims to ease those concerns.
