Anthropic Updates Claude Services: Design Plan Token Limits Doubled, Code Fast Mode Defaults to Opus4.7

Anthropic recently announced two key updates to its Claude services. First, the Token limit for Claude Design has been doubled across all Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans. Second, the fast mode of Claude Code now defaults to the Opus4.7 model.

Claude Design is a visual creation tool launched by Anthropic in April this year, supporting dialogue-generated designs, prototypes, and presentations with automatic brand system application. The doubled Token limit reduces interruptions during design, allowing complex projects to be handled without segmentation and accommodating longer contexts and continuous iterations.

Claude Code's fast mode uses Opus4.7 by default (accessible via "/fast"), offering 2.5x faster speed but higher cost, ideal for interactive tasks like rapid code iteration and real-time debugging. Pricing-wise, both Opus4.7 and Opus4.6 fast modes cost $30 per million input tokens and $150 per million output tokens, sharing the same rate limit pool.
