Apple homeOS details revealed: blends multiple system designs, Siri as core input
Bloomberg's Mark Gurman and other sources have revealed details about Apple's homeOS system. The name is not yet officially confirmed, but Apple filed a trademark for homeOS in June 2025. The interface blends iOS widgets, iPadOS app design, and watchOS-style icons, with a default screen built around photo slideshows and a clock display, similar to the iPhone standby mode.
Siri AI serves as the core input method for homeOS, emphasizing personal search and contextual interaction. Users can query songs, podcasts, notes, calendar events, and photos via voice. Built-in apps include Music, Podcasts, Photos, Weather, FaceTime, and more. The system is expected to lack an App Store but will support third-party widgets from iPhone.
