Apple Shortcuts update adds 35 new actions and boosts Apple Intelligence model use

Apple has updated its support documents, adding and improving over 35 actions for the Shortcuts app on iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, and other systems.

The biggest highlight is the "Use Model" action, which can call an enhanced Apple Intelligence model and fetch the latest information for any content in Shortcuts via the web. New automation triggers include receiving news notifications, keyboard connection, and screenshot saving.

New actions cover Messages, Reminders, VPN, Shortcuts storage, Photos, and more, such as sending Tapback, hiding photos, and finding VPNs. The Shortcuts editor now supports creating shortcuts with natural language, and automations can sync across devices.

Note that some Apple Intelligence features are not available in all countries and regions, and Siri AI remains in Beta on these systems.
