ASRock Industrial partners with Axelera AI to boost edge AI performance

ASRock Industrial has teamed up with Dutch AI chip company Axelera AI. Their edge AI platforms will now support Metis AIPU accelerators, adding up to 214 TOPS of INT8 inference power. The Metis AIPU, built on a 5nm process, uses digital in-memory computing and consumes only 8-15W, offering better AI performance and energy efficiency than traditional GPUs.

ASRock Industrial's chairman says businesses want to move AI from testing to real-world use. This partnership combines Metis AIPU cards with their edge computing platforms, giving customers powerful AI solutions while making it easier to deploy smart applications across industries.
