AWS GovCloud expands AI models for US government agencies

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has expanded AI model access for US government agencies through its GovCloud. Agencies can now use models from Anthropic, OpenAI, Meta, and Amazon's own Nova via Amazon Bedrock. GovCloud is designed for government use with strict security and compliance. AWS says this gives government customers and defense partners more AI options. AWS is growing fast, with operating profit up 63% year-over-year in Q2 2026. AWS expects revenue could eventually reach $1 trillion. Since most IT spending still happens on-premises, there's room for cloud growth.
