Baidu Cloud Reorganizes to Focus on AI Agents

Baidu Cloud has recently completed a reorg, renaming its platform division to the Agent Division. The MaaS business and Qianfan brand moved to the Infrastructure Division, while the data platform team became the Data Intelligence Division under the Application Division. The three divisions are now led by Hou Zhenyu, Yin Dawei, and Ruan Yu, all reporting to Shen Dou, Baidu's EVP.

This change aims to boost AI agent products like Baidu Dazi, Miao Da, and Fa Mou. Baidu's latest earnings show AI revenue now makes up 50% of its non-ad revenue for the second straight quarter. GPU cloud grew 283% year-over-year, marking four consecutive quarters of triple-digit growth. Management says it will keep investing in AI to shift from an internet company to an AI-first one.

Also this month, Baidu started merging its internal office agent dodo into Baidu Dazi, unifying its office agent offerings to better compete in the AI office space.
