Blue Origin Enters Space AI Computing: Plans to Deploy 52,000 Solar-Powered Satellites
Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin recently announced its entry into the space AI infrastructure field. The company has submitted an application to the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to deploy nearly 52,000 dedicated satellites, building a global orbital computing network.
Unlike traditional satellites, these are designed for AI computing tasks, equipped with advanced chips and fully solar-powered. They won't replace ground data centers but serve as a supplement, providing new physical space support for the surging AI computing demand.
