ByteDance launches new video model Seedance 2.5 with 30-second native clips
ByteDance's Volcano Engine announced the Seedance 2.5 video model at the 2026 FORCE conference. It's now in global enterprise testing and will launch in early July. The model can create native 30-second video clips and take up to 50 reference materials for better control.
They also upgraded Seedance 2.0 to support native 4K video. ByteDance previewed a new AI copyright platform, with Hong Kong director Stephen Chow as the first partner. Users can remix his classic movie scenes using official templates on tools like Douyin and CapCut, with over 100,000 creations made on the first day.
