ByteDance launches Seedance 2.0 Mini, cutting video generation cost in half

ByteDance's Volcano Engine launched the Seedance 2.0 Mini video generation model on June 15, with API access coming soon. It's designed for cost-effective, high-volume video creation like e-commerce content and marketing materials.

Pricing is set at 0.023 yuan per thousand tokens for image-to-video and 0.014 yuan for video-to-video. For 720P, the cost per second is about 0.5 yuan, roughly half of the standard Seedance 2.0. The company claims it's twice as fast as Seedance 2.0 Fast while maintaining similar quality.

This model targets frequent, large-scale uses like e-commerce, marketing, UGC, and special effects, helping businesses scale video production without breaking the bank.
