ByteDance's Doubao AI subscription test starts, with plans up to $700/year

ByteDance's AI app Doubao has started testing a paid subscription service. Some users saw a "Doubao Pro" subscription reminder while using the expert mode, and the service is expected to officially launch in late June.

Doubao updated its Apple App Store page with three subscription tiers: standard at $9.4/month ($95/year), enhanced at $28/month ($285/year), and pro at $70/month ($708/year). Subscriptions auto-renew through Apple iTunes.

The official statement says the pro version targets professionals, offering software development, data analysis, design, workflow automation, finance, and research tools. Basic features like search, writing, image generation, voice, and video chat will stay free for regular users.
