ByteDance's Volcano Engine Launches Seedance 2.5 API with 30-Second Video Generation

ByteDance's Volcano Engine launched the Seedance 2.5 API today. Compared to the previous version, it improves instruction following, long narratives, realistic human figures, and audio-visual quality. It natively generates 30-second videos and supports over ten languages.

Seedance 2.5 allows up to 50 multi-modal reference materials, with more precise editing. It's now available on platforms like LibTV, Qixiang AI, and TapNow. Pricing is 42 yuan per million tokens with video input, or 70 yuan without.

Meanwhile, Seedance 2.0 mini and fast are on discount from August 7 to September 7. Mini is 40% off, dropping to about 0.2 yuan per second at 720P; fast is 25% off, at about 0.6 yuan per second.
