CATL and Galaxy General team up, heavy-duty robot Galbot S1 hits production line

CATL has signed a global strategic partnership with Galaxy General Robotics, focusing on the heavy-duty humanoid robot Galbot S1. This robot is the first embodied intelligence robot with CATL batteries for regular operations, featuring 50 kg arm load capacity, centimeter-level visual positioning, and 360° obstacle avoidance.

The battery cells from CATL use advanced positive materials, low-lithium anodes, and self-repairing electrolytes, with a failure rate at PPB level. This ensures 8 hours of runtime and long-lasting safety on production lines.

Galbot S1 is now working on CATL's smart production lines, handling long-term tasks in module and battery pack assembly. It replaces human workers in heavy jobs like material handling and picking, reducing physical strain on staff.
